That’s a great question – thanks! I’m actually not too sure what my answer is. When I was in primary school I do not think I was really interested in ‘science’ like the subject at school. I do not really remember doing much science at school. I did like to read a lot though and was very curious (I still am!). I had these books called ‘I wonder why’ which asked lots of different questions about the world and then gave the answers in the book. For example a book called ‘I wonder why my blood is red’ would be all about the organs of the body. I really loved these books!

I also used to watch this cartoon on tv called ‘the magic school bus’ which was about this science teacher with a magic school bus that could do anything. Like, for example, all her class would get really tiny in the bus and be able to travel around the human body!

But growing up I liked lots of things – reading, writing stories, Pokémon, playing video games and board games.

Then, when I went to Secondary school I did science for Junior Cert I didn’t really like it. I found a lot of it quite boring. Then in Leaving Certificate I did Biology which I really liked! I guess it was a bit closer to the episode of The Magic School Bus!
